Our Garden is Growing

The Background

In winter of 2024, a group of staff and parents met with Susan Weber of Integrity Sustainable Planning and Design to discuss our outdoor spaces. Susan had created a comprehensive garden plan for us nearly five years ago, that we had to put on hold during the pandemic years, and it was time to Start Again!

Where We Are Now

• Design: Susan Weber at Integrity Sustainable Planting and Design hase created a beautiful new design in discussion with Faculty! It can be viewed in the Office.

• Grants/Fundraising: A group of passionate and capable parents are writing Grants. We have received two grants, and have several more in process!

• Beginning Work:
  -The new Welcome Garden and Pollinator Garden with native shrubs and wildflowers was installed by community volunteers in May of 2025. This project is supported through a grant from Franklin County Soil and Water District.
  -The Early Childhood and Kindergarten Gardens will began their transformation! The area was professionally graded and fitted with drainage and new pathways to both beautify the Gardens and address ongoing water retention issues. Planters and other magical features are in process for this space. If you’d like to personally sponsor a feature, please reach out to the Admin Office!
  -More exciting projects are in the works. Stay tuned to this space for updates!
