Afternoon Homeschool Class

This class will not be offered in the 2023/24 School Year

Ages 4-10

Monday-Tuesday 1-4pm

This multi-age class is a delight! The children enter into the garden for outdoor play while the teachers offer purposeful work like gardening, raking, and woodworking. Our older homeschoolers love to connect with peers and usually carry their cooperative, imaginative play over several days. The younger children enjoy helping teachers to chop, cook, draw and paint.

Each afternoon we interrupt this rich playtime for a group circle with song, dance, and rhyme. The teachers also prepare a seasonal story or puppet show for the group.

Our seasonal curriculum includes invitations to three annual festivals. The children will prepare for a Harvest Festival in September, Lantern Walk in November and May Day in May.

This is a simple class that allows space for our children to connect and truly engage in their creativity. The teachers are loving, attentive and ready with a rich curriculum of inspiring songs, artwork, cooking and story!
